With the blink of an eye, we are already past the half way mark. Still fuelled by our coffee and snack addiction, the intern team is back - this time older and (hopefully) a bit wiser!
The work
Most of the time, interns get stuck with busy work. But with Envol, it's the exact opposite. We've been challenged every step of the way, and have been making an impact on our clients and the work our agency does! It has been a dynamic environment with blogs being written, events being planned, and social media posts being scheduled. While sometimes it can get overwhelming, our team is the best support system we could ask for!
Through all of the projects and clients, we have been hard at work and learning lots. Managing our time and prioritizing projects continues to be one of the best skills we've developed while being here. We were thrown right into the action, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
Envol Life
Apart from the exciting work, we've been able to fully immerse ourselves into the Envol life. We were fortunate enough to have our birthdays fall on a work day (yes, fortunate - you read that right). Cake and bubbly at the end of a work day is THE BEST!
Life with Envol is inevitably dynamic, just like the work we do. We've struck a balance between veggie platters and cookies as our mid-day snack. Between the traditional desks and chairs, the 'collaborative couches', and the stand-up work areas, we keep finding new ways to switch up our working environment. Also, we should add that we've adopted our CEO's cave-like work behaviour. It's not uncommon to find our office lights shut off mid-day, working with the natural light instead.
Both of us figured that we would spend our internship stuck in the office all day everyday, but we have had the opportunity to do some learning en-route. While we've done a lot, some of our favourite out of office work includes: networking at the Terminal City Club, going out to Richmond for site visits, and even attending a design thinking session with a client! Every day is different and we're excited to see what's in store for the last half of the internship!
